One park, two ways to do it

Algonquin works as a day trip or a full weekend. Both leave from the same downtown Toronto stop. The difference is whether you sleep in a tent, a glamping dome, or your own bed that night.

It's convenient, destinations are all great and staff is nice, polite and funny. I recommend Parkbus to everyone, especially if you don't have a car but want to explore Ontario.

Booked in minutes, had an unreal day in Algonquin, and was home by dinner.
Cameron · Happy Parkbus customer
★★★★★
Used this service for a weekend in Algonquin. These guys stuck to the schedule well and ambassadors checked everyone in at their pickups. Convenient drop offs all across the park and across the city. Reasonably priced and no need to think about a rental car to get to the wilderness.

FAQ: Before you go

What's included in the ticket?
Round-trip coach transportation and park admission. Canoe/bike rentals, food, and accommodation are separate.
Can I bring my bike?
Up to 3 regular bikes per bus (no e-bikes), first-come first-served. Email help@parkbus.ca in advance to reserve a spot. Folding bikes don't need pre-approval as long as they fit in a large-suitcase footprint.
How much luggage can I bring?
Suitcases, backpacks, coolers, camping gear — the bus has a full luggage compartment. No canoes, kayaks, fireworks, firewood, or firearms.
Is there a bathroom on the bus?
Yes, on most buses. There's also a 15-minute rest stop about halfway.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Pet ticket is $20 each way. Pets must be in a carrier or muzzled on the bus. Dogs must be leashed in the park. Owner is responsible for any cleaning fees.
Is there cell service in the park?
Spotty. You'll get signal on hilltops and some larger lakes, but don't count on it. Coverage varies by carrier.
Where do I buy food in the park?
Lake of Two Rivers Store has basic groceries and a fast-food restaurant (burgers, pizza, ice cream). The Portage Store at Canoe Lake has similar. Call ahead if you need something specific — options are limited.
What about bears?
They're in the park but generally avoid people. Store food properly. If you're camping at Lake of Two Rivers, Mew Lake, or Pog Lake, park staff provides free food lockers (key requires a $25 refundable cash deposit at the park office). See Ontario's BearWise guide for more.
Can I request a custom stop?
No — for safety and logistics reasons, we stick to our published stops. But we're always reviewing the route. Email us with suggestions: help@parkbus.ca.
